How Phoenix Suns can play with Chris Paul sidelined with left groin strain

Phoenix Suns have three days between Game 2 and Friday's Game 3 to figure out how to play without their floor general. The Republic dives into their options as they're down 2-0 in West semifinals.

Phoenix Suns veteran point guard Chris Paul didn't try to play through what was ruled left groin tightness in the third quarter of the Game 2 loss at Denver.


According to sources, he's won't be playing in the near future.


Sources informed the The Republic that Paul will be out at least a week with a left groin strain. The Suns play Game 3 and 4 Friday and Sunday, respectively, of this Western Conference semifinals series at Footprint Center.


The Nuggets have a 2-0 series lead after Monday's 97-87 win at Ball Arena. If there is a Game 5, it'll be May 9 in Denver.
